据美国为同性恋者争取平等权益组织ＨＲＣ于2005年9月20日发布的消息，由ＨＲＣ评选的本年度美国大企业对同性恋者包容程度综合评分结果于当天正式公布。在今年的评分结果中，获得满分（100分）的企业总数达到101家，比去年增加了45家。

　　HRC的年度大企业综合评分（Corporate Equality Index），是从列在《财富》杂志美国五百强企业以及《福布斯》杂志二百强美国企业之中评选出来的。评分标准包括：公司政策中是否明文包括禁止基于性倾向歧视的政策条文，是否有禁止对不同性身份以及对变性者的歧视，对雇员的同性伴侣或配偶是否提供类似婚姻家属关系的同等福利待遇，公司是否开展包括包容不同性倾向者在内的多元化培训，公司内部是否有公司支持的同性恋者雇员组织，在招聘、业务、广告、管理等市场活动中是否尊重和公正对待同性恋者，是否有支持歧视性组织或活动的不良记录等。评选以0分到100分的幅度来反映一家公司对同性恋者等少数性倾向与性身份员工的各方面包容程度。HRC的企业评分已经在美国企业界受到广泛关注，很多媒体、机构、企业、消费者、投资者等都把这个评分作为有关决定和评论的重要参考依据。

　　从今年的评分结果可以看出，在整体上，美国各大企业对同性恋者等不同性身份、性倾向和变性者的包容程度在不断提升。这些拥有巨额资产、广泛市场占有率、庞大雇员数量以及全球知名度的企业，正在以社会主流的影响力推动着整个社会的进步。这些公司对同性恋者的反歧视和平等态度，也是人才竞争和市场竞争的反映。众多大企业的反歧视和多元平等政策，也为千千万万的雇员和他们的同性配偶们提供了安全健康的工作环境和相关保障。
